Excellent! - 93% of guests recommend

One of the most beautiful and most posh hotels in London, with prices to match. The service here is top notch down to the finest detail. In the lobby bathrooms an attendant waits to turn on the faucet for you, pump the soap and hand you a towel when you are done. The lobby centers around an imposing dark wood ...

The Marriott London Grosvenor Square Hotel is a fantastic place to stay on the edge of Hyde Park. It is very reasonably priced for a hotel of it's stature. It's quiet, comfortable, clean, and convenient, and I would jump at the chance to stay there again.

The Four Seasons Hotel won't win any extra points for its name, which automatically conjures up suites dripping in luxury details, in comparison with which most places will suffer. This Four Seasons is perfectly adequate and central. It feels like a guesthouse, with a little window for reception, and narrow stairs leading up to the rooms. The service is friendly ...

My new favourite spot for a cocktail in Soho, the Charlotte Street Hotel is stylish, low-key, and a great place for anything from an afternoon business meeting to an early aperitivo. Their fig caipiroska is a revelation in alcoholic fruits.

This is a very nice hotel on a small street just on the north end of covent garden. The rooms are comfortable and nicely done (although not huge), and they have a great restaurant downstairs with awesome breakfast and dinner and (if the weather is warm) great outdoor seating.

Tucked into a Bloomsbury townhouse, the Academy Hotel does the British literary vibe to a tee. Fireplaces and striped wallpaper distinguish the 49 rooms, while the small size means personalized service. This is also a great location for exploring Soho and Bloomsbury.

One of my favorite hotels in the world. It is a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. Hip hotel in Covent Garden, walking distance to Soho, the theater district, the national gallery and Picadilly Circus. Beds are comfortable, but the rooms/desk are too small for a good business hotel, which is what I needed. The hotel aims to be cool, and sometimes it feels like it is trying too hard, with strange art films and techno music ...

What's up, opulence? The JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel is a well-appointed Mayfair establishment facing Hyde Park itself. A great place to stay as a first-time visitor to London, as you're a short walk from so many sights. Good service, good decor, good beds.

The Langham does luxury extremely well with professional, personable service and elegant, sumptuous interiors. The standard double rooms aren't large, but any extra space you may need can be found in the spa, which is Asian themed and lavender scented. The executive suites come with access to a private lounge with very English tea sandwiches available for refreshment.

Wow, Wow, Wow, beautiful hotel. Amazing! I love it. If only I could travel Rocco Forte more regularly. The brand also really caters well to gay travelers which I love and works with a lot of other gay travel brands, so this incredibly stylish, well-serviced hotel is the place to go if you want to Splurge in London.

This beautiful Mayfair hotel also has a stylish offer for afternoon tea. Choose gentleman's or ladies' snacks (savory and sweet, respectively) and, opt in to bottomless champagne for just a few pounds extra. Sure to get you ready for a night on the town, or, just stumble back up to your room.

Think of the most elegant older lady with a bit of hidden sass that you know, imagine her as a hotel and you will have the Landmark. The site of Dukes' Bar, where the martinis are some of the best in the world. It was here that inspired Ian Fleming, after a couple of the stiff drinks, to pen the line "shaken, not stirred." The hotel itself is a luxury boutique hotel tucked into a Mayfair side street, central but not noisy, a great little hidey hole.
