I know its less popular, but for the annual skier/snowboarder, I find Soda Springs has lots of offer - including tubing when you get tired of the slopes! My family enjoys the area immensely.

For skiing and staying… I'd recommend Heavenly village / the Marriott, where you have lots of activities for the entire family even if they don't ski.
