The Hawaii Maritime Museum is an official U.S. Historic Landmark thanks to both their comprehensive collection of historically relevant seafaring equipment, and their unique location. On the edge of Honolulu Harbor, perhaps among the most bustling ports in the Pacific both historically and to this day, the Hawaii Maritime Museum has likely witnessed first hand much of the evolution of maritime activities that her exhibits help visualize. Both examples of natural and man made history can be found here, with everything from sea life to vessels on display. Visiting is an enlightening experience that shows the progression from canoe to battleship in a way few other similar museums can. Additionally, they are located close to the waterfront, meaning a delicious meal to wrap up your day at the museum is always close at hand.
