It's a decent coffee shop with quality food and drinks.
You have to try their red bean and cheese pretzel! It sounds gross but I really enjoyed it. It's like eating a sweet red bean pretzel with a gooey texture with a subtle saltiness. The cheese is very light. It went well with my seasonal (?) pumpkin spice latte :)
If you want a latte with cute lil drawings, ask them ahead of time and keep in mind that not all lattes come with cute drawings. I was bummed that they couldn't draw on mine because my latte was white :( My friend changed his drink order so they could draw on it. Unfortunately they only drew a heart.
Great place to chat with friends and study.
Busy days: Find parking in residential streets. There are tons a block away.

First off, I drink my coffee like a man... straight no chaser... I believe a good cup of brewed coffee never needs cream or sugar.
So I was in the Sawtelle area and it was a rainy day and I decided, what better way to start a cold day than a hot cup of coffee. A part of me told me to just head to Culver City and go to the Conservatory but I wanted to try something new.
I ordered the Spanish coffee (or the Tomo coffee) and it came out to be $4 for a little cup of coffee. I didn't mind the price but the moment I drank it, I noticed that the coffee wasn't as aromatic or fresh as I was expecting it to be. I guess I was expecting the coffee to taste a little bit richer and not so flat. :/ . Honestly, I rather just go to Starbucks...
The inside is pretty cool, it's kind of cramped but they have free wifi and street parking is a plenty. I was in a rush but they also sell pastries and pretzels for around $4.
Overall, the coffee wasn't as rich or flavorful as I would hope it to be. If you want some great coffee, I recommend rolling over to the conservatory in Culver City!

I can't work at home. There are too many distractions (cats to play with, things that need cleaning, anything more exciting than looking for jobs). That, combined with the fact that the one person in my apartment complex who didn't have a wireless password, just added one, means I have to spend a LOT of time in coffee shops. Damn you, selfish neighbor! I give dirty looks to all of my neighbors I pass now, just in case it's one of them.
Coffee Tomo was a new place I tried out. Parking in that area sucks, but there is a free valet lot that takes tips. I hate strangers driving my car and I hate paying, so minus points here. OR you could park in the Nijiya underground lot or the Marshalls lot, and sneak out. Shhhhh!
Tried a green tea latte and a pumpkin cheese pretzel. The pretzel was in the shape of a crescent and stuffed with a gooey pumpkin and cheese mixture that actually worked really well together. My latte was just okay, with a very muted green tea flavor. I do like the way everything is made fresh. It isn't very cheap, though.
There is one long communal table for studying, and three other small tables, one with a small, handwritten sign stating that the small tables are only for food and not studying or laptops. So there isn't much space overall. There are a lot of decorations (huge sacks of coffee beans, etc) that take up space.
This place was okay. I'd come back, even though the high prices, lack of space, and parking situation are big drawbacks.

A great West side coffee shop, just below Westwood, offering a number of pour over coffee options, along with all of the usual espresso based options.
The atmosphere is distinctive with wooden tables and chairs throughout a fairly small cafe and there are a couple of tables outside.
