What an incredibly tech-savvy hotel! The flatscreens in the rooms double as computers, with detachable keyboards neatly stashed to the side; there are personal DvD players in case you can't find what you want to watch on demand; the nightstands are conveniently stashed with ihomes for charging gadgets or playing music (but there's also a hookup for android users); the coffee stations are equipped with keurigs and kcups; and there are ethernet cables in each and every room for direct internet hookup. The rooms also come with soundproofing, floor-to-ceiling windows (that open!) with nice views of the city. And then, of course, there is the famous rooftop pool. I also heard a rumor that the Toronto Blue Jays stay here when they're in town.Recommended for:

Three things stood out to me about the Colonnade: its friendly staff, its great rooftop pool, and its cute little rubber duckies in the bathtub. The staff are the type that greet you when you first walk through the door and strike up a conversation with you when you catch a ride with them in the elevator. The concierges also go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. The pool was definitely my favorite feature, though. It is an urban oasis, with stunning views of the city and yet plenty of cabanas and chaise lounges to make you think you are somewhere more tropical than downtown Boston. Finally, the rubber duckies just add that personal touch to the already luxe and well-equipped bathrooms. Beyond these stand-out features, floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest rooms and the hotel's ideal location are also worth noting.Recommended for:
