The Conrad is a lovely modern property. The rooms are spacious and the food and service are quite good. The roof top pool and fitness facilities are excellent. Only real downsides are:
- centrally located but immediate neighborhood is of little interest
- bathrooms are basically glass boxes. Though you can close the curtains / blinds, can get awkward if you are sharing a room with someone you don't know well
The lobby bar is quite nice but sometimes attracts working girls (unfortunately, this is a problem at many places in Bangkok).Recommended for:

One of the best things about the Conrad in Bangkok are the rooms. All sorts of little Thai touches have been made to them so that although you’re spending the night in a high-rise hotel, it’s impossible to forget what country you’re in. Original art hangs on the walls like pen and ink drawings of stupas, silk tapestries decorate the foot of the beds, and tropical fruit baskets sit on your side table. They’ve even included a little rubber elephant instead of the usual rubber ducky for your bath. But the rooms aren’t annoyingly decorative. If you’re in Bangkok for work, you’ll appreciate The Herman Miller desk chairs, and the selection of big screen Macs in the business center and executive lounge. I really like the dark lighting in the common spaces and the choices when it comes to lighting in your room. At the Conrad they treat lighting like the art form it can be, which is good because with some rooms including a glassed in “sexy-bath” a lot of us are going to need all the help we can get. For lunch we ate at Café@2, a French‑Thai' brasserie that serves buffet and a la carte food. We got to try a lot of incredible foods we’d never had before, but in a really comfortable atmosphere.Recommended for:

Everything you could need, or want and more is here at the Conrad. It’s all about taste! Seems fitting that I should start to talk about restaurants. Not only are there Japanese and Chinese restaurants but also a French, Thai buffet restaurant and all have their chefs coming from their own country. We had lunch at café at 2. Chef Nicolai made us a special dish of ducks liver with strawberries and a fruit sauce. It sounds bizarre but it was so amazingly decadent and delicious. Even the lobby of the Conrad makes you feel like you aren’t in just any old hotel. There are these beautiful wooden pillars, with stone work and many people seem to enjoy sitting here and relaxing and talking in the nice ambiance. The rooms are tastefully done in wood and green décor. I could go on. It’s an impressive place to stay.
