The Conrad Hotel is straight-up classy. In fact, this is probably one of the classiest hotels I’ve ever been to. It has a spacious layout, which is always nice, and it’s basically cocooned in shiny marble and elegant touches. There’s a glass aquarium with a column of fire inside it. There is a variety of sofas and chairs that feature oblong shapes. There’s a striking bar that’s illuminated with white back-lighting. There’s even a nice little restaurant, though there are dining options directly across the street.
The rooms are inviting, styled with beige and golden hues. Bathrooms have a small bathtub, and a spacious walk-in shower. The gym is even pretty well-equipped, and even boasts a mini-fridge with chilled towels. Chilled towels are pretty classy, and so is this hotel.

Conrad Chicago is the epitome of luxury, and despite the fireplace in the lobby, it left me feeling just a little bit cold.
It's beautiful, and the rooms are quite large for a hotel in downtown Chicago (especially the bathrooms, which have both showers and deep bathtubs). It does have free wifi, which is pleasantly surprising, along with slippers and robes, complimentary coffee and tea, and a restaurant in the lobby.
Be sure to check out the sleep menu, which offers complimentary scented pillows and other bedtime treats for a small charge (earplugs, sleep masks, nightcaps, and the like).

Directly linked to the North Bridge shopping center (with 50 stores, a Nordstrom, and 20 restaurants), you don't even need to step outside to shop Michigan Avenue, which is a serious perk during the harsh Chicago winters. Rooms are nicely sized, decorated in a neutral palette of whites and tans. The hotel offers free WiFi, a rarity for upscale lodging, and complimentary access to a recently refreshed gym. The Conrad does have a restaurant and a convenience store (with an ATM) in the lobby, but the neighborhood and aforementioned mall attached to the hotel provide lots of options.

Super Swanky in a great location, and here is the travel hint/tip of the century, the rooms are often cheaper than the Hilton Garden Inn across the street!!! This is hands down my favorite place to stay in when I am in Chicago. The rooms are huge and bright. The hotel is in walking distance to Michigan Ave. State St. Wabash, the list is endless. Enjoy yourself, you are in Chicago for cryin’ out loud!

There is no way to fully submerge yourself in water here, (read: NO POOL) unless you take into account the deep tubs in the bathroom, but they are not the best if you are looking to cool off on your summer vacation. The summer fun problem is solved though when your eyes make contact with the beautiful sun-drenched roof top bar. If you want to enjoy the rooftop bar with your Special Lady Friend, you may need to equip her with blinders because the bar is adjacent to the breeze way, and she will inevitably try to run off to shop there. The hotel staff is so friendly, overly friendly really. You ever had a moment when you thought to yourself, “this friendliness is making me reevaluate how friendly I am as a person.” Well that’s how friendly they are. Seriously though, they were very helpful and consistently went above and beyond to accommodate. The lobby was decorated nicely, yet nothing to kill the fatted calf over. The bathrooms have a deep and inviting tub that can easily fit two people, and good rare Italian soaps that the lady will definitely appreciate. The restaurant has a great, warm, and inviting atmosphere. Really fun hotel!

The Conrad has an elegant, “boutiquey” feel to its 311 rooms, offering escalating levels of laid back luxuriance right in the heart of the Loop. Sister property to the New York Waldorf Astoria, it’s in a “historic” 1928 property, the former McGraw Hill publishing house (which was offered as an explanation why the standard rooms vary in size down to pretty cozy for their king size beds and Bose sound systems.) Suites with outdoor terraces are on offer and there are spectacular views from the seasonal rooftop bar. The lobby has a “Dwell” aesthetic with a formal sitting room vibe.

The Conrad was perfect for what we needed. It was only my second time in Chicago and I only went because my boyfriend had a meeting so I decided to join him for fun. One of the best parts of the hotel was the location, and I would definitely not hesitate at staying here again if I had the chance.
The location was fabulous, and we took advantage of it at night to enjoy the nearby attractions such as Navy Pier, the restaurants, and of course the nearby clubs and bars. There are also wonderful beds and I slept better than I normally do at home.
