Conrad New York

Great location near the World Trade Center and Battery Park. We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite, thanks to HHonors Diamond status. The suite was very spacious and well decorated. We felt like royalty, knowing standard NYC apartments were much smaller in size. We slept very well. The bed was very comfy. My only gripe was the customer ...

One of my dreams was to see the original twin towers and I can imagine how pretty it must have been to see it live because the new is gorgeous and super tall, plus all the history and sadness surrounding this place.

Not a lot of things are free in New York, but Staten Island Ferry is one of them. Amazing views of New York Harbor, Statue of liberty, downtown and the Brooklyn Bridge. Sunset is the best time to catch this classic ferry ride.

Great gear from Sweden for hiking, trekking, camping or Judy looking in style while walking around the city. Primarily known for their backpacks and Jackets. Of note, thru use a special wax to keep their gear waterproof and they will re-wax their jackets for free at their stores.

A cute little park that has been around for centuries. Originally it held a statute of King George, pulled down after the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed. Nice place to sit and picnic while in the Financial District. Next to the Bull.

There isn't much to do here except take a picture with the Bull and view the outside of the NYSE but if you're going to the Statue of Liberty then you're just a quick walk from both of these sites. So what the hell? You might as well take a look.

Understand that I'm only reviewing the physical street and its historic significance, and not what it represents. The heart of capitalism and everything that's right and wrong with it, Wall Street is an iconic destination for any traveler. The architecture alone is worth the trip. Keen minds will note the awkward juxtaposition of seeing a church right at the end ...

I'm not sure how to rate it, because it's not a 5-star spectacular site, and it's not a 1-star disappointment either. It's emotional, heartbreaking, and sobering - and if you have national pride, or if you're simply emotional like me, you'll be affected for awhile. I visited in 2006, so I haven't seen the 10th anniversary monuments, but I saw ...

Trinity Church is one of the oldest buildings in New York City and it's also the place where Alexander Hamilton is buried--fittingly not far from Wall Street. I've also been to the grave of Aaron Burr in Princeton.

Despite the fact that this once bohemian quarter of warehouses converted into artists' lofts has now been overrun by chains, luxury brands and the like, it's still hip and full do unique little businesses if you search for them. A fun place to stroll and explore during the day and even more so at night.

This is another National Park Service's park unit. This is the site where President George Washington took oath of office. The disability entrance is located at the back of the building. Since it is near Wall Street there is no parking.

You can't beat this stop. I know, it's touristy. They have a tall ship all the time. You can catch all of the water taxi things from there, including the hidden harbors tour, which is great. It's also got that legendary view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The street performers are worth a stop as well.
