Cookie is a large beer hall style venue that prides itself on a large range of beers on tap, amazing cocktails and great Thai food.
There are issues with service so I would not recommend it for dinner. On a non-weeknight night, or early in the evening (it gets uncomfortably busy at peak Fri/Sat night times) pop in for one of the most amazing cocktails you will ever have.

This was recommended to me and absolutely impressed on every level, a bustling bar sitting next to a restaurant is not normally something I'd try. BUT it scores highly on both counts, the bar was fun, reasonably priced and had a good mix of unpretentious people. The restaurant is bustling, noisy and pretty crowded so not best for a date night but if you don't mind yelling over the table the food is well worth it, the menu is so vast and full of delicious thai treats that you'll forgive the noise levels.
Perfect for a group of four or more, you'll want to sample a few meals by sharing.

Beer hall with best food and room for all. Central CBD location. I wanted to try more of the thai menu but alas have not had it myself but heard nothing but rave reviews. I enjoyed my frosty local brew on tap too. There is some balcony seating where smoking is allowed. Has that Melbourne meets NYC vibe. Great for groups or solo travelers seeking a nightcap and tapas.
