Thanks to Ally Wu's suggestion, I decided, at the last minute, to sign up for a Turkish cooking class. I gave them a call and they were able to fit me in that night. We cooked five fantastic dishes including dolmas, a fantastic eggplant dish, lentil soup, cookies, and one more thing I can't recall just now. We got demos and broke into groups to complete all the tasks. After a few hours in the warm kitchen we sat down to a sumptuous dinner, served with 2 glasses of wine. We each were given recipe sheets, and I can't wait to try some of the dishes at home. If you want to get deeper into Turkish food give it a try. Our meal was one of the best I had while in Istanbul.Recommended for:Foodies

My husband and I slid into their last table for the night, and it was a lucky thing. The set menu is packed with painstakingly prepared Turkish dishes. The owners are expats, however, which backed up our impression that the food was ever so slightly skewed to western tastes. Delicious and deservedly popular, I wouldn't mind returning to try one of their cooking classes.Recommended for:Vegetarian

This is a restaurant that also offer great cooking classes. Eveline is from Holland but has been living in Turkey for over 10 years teaching Turkish cooking. In the class, you have real hands on experience to learn to cook a 5 course Turkish meal. You have a chance to learn about Turkish cooking techniques and most common spices. Your reward is a delicious meal cooked by. It was a very fun and memorable experience. I highly recommend it.
