This is one of my favorite drink spots on the west side; and it's also where I discovered one of my favorite drinks EVER. They use fresh, organic ingredients and the bartenders really know their stuff. You can also pick and choose from ingredients, then the bartenders will make you a delicious concoction with their know-how and all the goods behind the counter. Try one of my faves: a cucumber mint martini with a splash of ginger beer.

Sexy atmosphere, beautiful crowd, fun music to dance to and most importantly, well crafted cocktails - yes, Copa d'Oro has it all.
Located right off Third St Promenade, my girlfriends and I headed over here on a Saturday night, and the place was packed! With lots of plush couches (most of which you need to reserve) and a nice long bar, there was still room to post up somewhere.
The bartenders were very attentive and for having to make prohibition style cocktails, they created them with a quickness. I really enjoyed my Bourbon Sidecar, Buck Fizz and the Blood & Sand. If you're open to bartender's choice, they'll do an amazing job with selecting something for you based on your choice of spirit, fruit or herb.
Drinks are a little on the pricey side at around $12 depending on the ingredients, but they've got $5 happy hour all day Monday and from 5:30-8pm Tuesday-Saturday, which makes these lovely cocktails seem like a steal.

Ok, I don't drink so I'm probably missing a big part of the experience here, but I did enjoy the low-key environment and the appetizers! We had their dips and I liked each one of them - the bread that came with was just the perfect combo of soft and crispy.
I saw signs for a 1920's themed night they were hosting, so it's also a fun place to enjoy some old school flair. Oh and they have a live artist working sometimes, which is pretty cool! He was painting near the entrance.

Nice little lounge/bar located across from the Santa Monica Mall.
I was there for my friends bday, they do take reservations and we had a nice little area off to side right next to the main entrance.
Our server was wonderful. Great music, live DJ. The drinks were a bit pricey but it's expected in the area.

This upscale bar in Santa Monica is EPIC! This place is dark, but yet sexy, saavy.
It's inviting and the Cocktails are yummy! Me, someone that can't handle too much alcohol begging my friends for one more sips one after another.
I love the vibe here! Such a romantic/ cozy ambiance. Great crowds, young but not snotty. :-) Pretty people but not conceited. It makes me feel beautiful just walking in.
Great Happy Hour!!! Appetizers are decent!
A great place to just relax with your friends, on a date or even a pre-dinner lounge to catch some drinks and take advantage of the happy hour price!
This has become one of my favorite hang out place with my friends in the West side!

Copa D'Oro has some of the best drinks in West LA. They have a great happy hour - specialty cocktails at $5 each, and they are really well made. The waitresses and bartenders are friendly (despite always being very busy) and are very quick.
A couple favorites: Corpse Reviver (has absinthe), French 75 (nice, clean, classic drink).
I've had a bunch of other great drinks from there (never anything that I didn't like) but I can't remember them off the top of my head right now.
Get a drink that has a cherry, or nicely ask a bartender to put one in your drink. They have deliiiiiiicious amaretto cherries.

$5 drinks all night long on Mondays- what more could you ask for? If you like scotch, the Bobby Burns is a must- perfectly mixed, with the right balance of alcohol, citrus, and sweet. Park in one of the public garages on 2nd or in Santa Monica Place if you are planning to shop there.
