    Vesterbrogade 3, Copenhagen 1620 Denmark
    68 reviews

When Walt Disney was coming up with the initial plans for what would later become Disneyland, he viewed Tivoli Gardens, in the heart of downtown Copenhagen, as his inspiration and muse. It's not hard to see why. In the summertime, the sun doesn't set until around 11-11:30 PM and you can find the youth from all over Denmark, and a ...

    Rådhuspladsen/Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen 1550 Denmark
    34 reviews

The large pedestrian only area is full of great shopping, restaurants and friendly bars as well as excellent people watching. Plan on half a day at least. We went in November and although it was cold, several pubs offered blankets and hot outdoor lamps to make sitting outside very enjoyable.

Gammel Strand 26, Copenhagen 1202 Denmark
    26 reviews

'Twas okay. No spectacular sights and sadly, I was only able to see the Little Mermaid's back. The boat itself had a roof which prevented you from seeing the sights on the other side. If you like architecture, do it, because you do get to see some nice buildings. But don't get your hopes up if you came for something ...

Fun little tour, but the best part is the beer tasting at the end. They've got some HIGH-POWERED beers available, so if you're a lightweight like myself, plan to take it easy for an hour or so afterwards.

A very nice part of the city right in the center and next to the famous Christiana. Kind of a main central hub in the city center. Perhaps not as attractive for tourists though other than if you are trying to get around.

The Glyptoteket is an absolutely beautiful museum with an incredible collection of ancient art and European art. I will always remember seeing my first mummy there and marvelling at the intricate wrapping. The garden courtyard is an absolutely lovely place to get a bit of nature in colder weather.
