Great place with a small fee, a great variety of nice places to eat and free wi-fi. Good for all ages. And it has live shows and beautiful scenery. It has both the rides and nice places to relax.

Nyhavn is a great neighborhood. I often pass through it on the way to other things, so I usually stop for a waffle or other knosh.

Christiania is in many ways a symbol of Denmark's tolerant views on society. Some describe it as a hippy commune. Technically it operates as a semi-autonomous state. I am not sure, but it was interesting - lots of semi-run down buildings painted in bright colors. Hippies around, and stands selling all forms of hashish and related products, which are legal ...

A tribute to famous Dane Hans Christian Anderson. This bronze statute is a fairly iconic shot in Copenhagen.

Pedestrian shopping district. Walk from end to end to end to end. Malls, boutiques, souvenir shops, candy shops, luxury goods scattered all around here. Definitely a nice leisure walk and shop as you go. But thing to note, Denmark is pricey. With 25% goods & services tax. So tourists, if you don't mind getting your refunds at the airport, go ...

Great overview of Copenhagen. I was only in town for three days for a conference so this was a great way to experience parts of Copenhagen we couldn't walk to.

Cool square and equestrian statue in the center. The tours in the two open palaces are well worth the entry free and offer a glimpse of history and royal lifestyles of both past and present.

    Rosenborg Slot

I haven't been inside so perhaps my rating could be upgraded but from the outside it's a fine looking castle. There's a park next to it, with fountains, a botanical garden, and statues that are at least as good as a that mermaid..

    Copenhagen Opera House

We weren't fortunate enough to see a performance here, but we did take the time to walk over and wander along the waterfront. IT's an impressive building. As a sight and a location to visit,... maybe not as awesome it looked from across the water. That said, we will have to be back to see a show.

Best seen by the canal boat tours! Copenhagen is a city of canals so it makes most sense when visiting here to fit in a tour of the canals.

Beautiful Christianshavn. Great on a saturday. Walk around the nearby free-town of Christiania and finish with lunch from one of the great sandwich bars. Sit on the harbour and watch the guide tours sail by.

While I like paintings, there is something about sculptures that just fascinate me. It must be something about the textures you can see when dealing with stone and marble in 3 dimensions. The Glyptoteket has an excellent collection of Roman and Greek sculptures and I greatly enjoyed exploring it

This contemporary museum is a little bit outside of Copenhagen, but is well worth the trip. It has an amazing outdoor sculpture garden, and is on the sea. When I visited, there was an exhibition on Scandinavian architecture that was remarkable.

The home to the Danish stock market for a few hundred years starting in the 1600s! The most notable feature of this beautiful building is the tower with four intertwined dragons tails.

Also favoured by the locals for romantic evening walks or early morning runs the lakes are worth a visit for any tourist with more than a few hours in the city. The lakes originally formed the outer defence for the medieval city but it has long since grown out of these confines. Walk along and you'll see Danes in the ...
