This hotel is just magnificent! When you enter the lobby you are amazed by the grandeur of the hotel. You have the massive staircase right in front of you, and when you look up you see the big and shiny chandeliers. You almost think you're in a castle of the Middle Ages. The rooms are very spacious and tidy. Furthermore the staff is really helpful & friendly. I would also recommend the spa and swimming pool, which are great. Not only to use but also to look at.
If I can give one tiny little thing of criticism: it's not always clear where to go. Some directional signs would be helpful!

Light, airy, and magnificent, the Corinthia Hotel is placed right in the center of Pest right off Oktogon. A short stroll will take you to Andrassy Avenue or Liszt Ferenc Square where many young locals fill the outdoor restaurants and cafés during the summer months. The hotel is huge boasting over 350 rooms as well as several restaurants and a bar. At times the hotel feels like a small city as there are often more people in the lobby than there are on the streets especially during hosted events and large conferences. Not to worry though, there is an intimate downstairs spa and pool which is perfect for a brief escape if one does not want to make the trip to the baths. While the service is generally attentive and first rate, the large number of events and large tour groups can often cause the staff to be stretched a little thin sometimes causing delays in getting answers and dealing with personal requests.

For me The Corinthia Hotel Budapest is the grand dame of the boulevard. I remember her from the 80s when she was the Hotel Royal (equally grand for the day).
Even before you walk through the door, you know you are coming to a place to remember. The building itself is massive and very elegant with annexed buildings on either side connected by atriums.
The room is what you would expect from a five star hotel: spacious (33 m2) with fine furniture, sumptuous bedding, a beautiful bathroom, and lots of closet space. There is a mirrored make-up area in the entryway to help make you look and feel beautiful. Pictures decorating the walls are a nice selection of grouped pictures. Overall, the room feels more like a home than a hotel.
Be sure to bring your bathing suit because the hotel has a first class pool and spa available to the guests.
If you stay includes a Sunday, be sure to try the Sunday buffet – it is to die for – accompanied by unlimited sparkling wine and gypsy music. Next door is the currently very popular Bock Bistro. On the other side the famous Szamos pastry and coffee house is the neighbor of the hotel.

Keep your eyes peeled when you’re in the lobby of the Corinthia, you’re liable to see a famous face from film or television. The Corinthia seems to be the number one spot for visiting cast and crew. In case you weren’t aware, Budapest has become a major production hub. But in our experience you don’t have to be a cast member of the Borgias to get the star treatment. The quality of service is some of the best you will encounter in Budapest. The hotel restaurant is a cut above the rest too, as Bock Bistro was awarded a ‘Bib Gourmand’ by Michelin Guides in 2010, yet it isn’t as outrageously expensive as you would have every right to expect. The location is fine for exploring the city, but rooms facing the street can be a little noisy at nights, as trams rattle past and revellers go from bar to bar.
Dining options at Corinthia Hotel Budapest include a restaurant and a bar/lounge. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Recreational amenities include an indoor pool, a spa tub, a
