A little grungy, a little smokey, but overall Morrison's is a really fun place to come to if you want to dance. There isn't a whole lot of seating space (or dancing space, for that matter), but the music is great - mostly top 40, some electro, some oldies. They're supposedly well known for their karaoke, but I have never ...Popular withNightlife

Dedicated to the first Christian king of Hungary and the patron saint of the holiest cathedral. The basilica is truly stunning. The dome collapsed during the construction and the church was later designed in the neo-classical style. You can also see a mummified right hand of the patrol saint.Popular withHistory

Budapest is known for its ruin bars and this is the only one I have been to, and I absolutely loved it. It used to be a small courtyard apartment building typical of Budapest. They basically put a roof on the courtyard and turned it into an indoor courtyard where you still have the trees and people can stand on ...Popular withBudgetBackpackersNightlife

Pedestrian square named after the poet Mihaly Vorosmarty. A statue of him is in the center of the square, with a quote from him that translates to "Your homeland, Hungary, serve unwaveringly". This is also where you will find Gerbeaud Cukraszda, a fabulous cafe where you should really come and eat something.

Great people here. They're super friendly and very chill. This hostel always puts on events (there's something going on every night), and they're also able to help you out with whatever you're interested in (caving, for example). Might not have been the CLEANEST hostel I've ever been to, but that's probably a given when you got to a "Party Hostel." ...Popular withAdventureBackpackers

Pretty square, at the end of the Chain Bridge on the Pest side. At one time it was known as Franz Jozsef Square, but was renamed after FDR in 1947. Many nice hotels are around this square, including the Gresham Palace.Popular withBackpackers
