The location of this hotel is a bit awkward. It is near the Happy Valley horse racing field slightly far from MTR station. Granted it is still within walking distance, the 10-15 minutes walk in a hot summer day could be quite deadly. Take advantage of the hotel shuttle or if you are really lazy, a cab ride is fairly inexpensive in Hong Kong.
Service here is excellent. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Fresh fruits delivered to my room every day and house keeping kept everything sparking clean. The room are quite modern despite a bit small. This is the case for most hotels in Hong Kong though. If this is your first trip to places like Hong Kong or Toyko, you might be quite shocked at the size of the bed. Consider upgrading to a bigger room if you are tall and big.Recommended for:

The Cosmopolitan Hotel is anything but. It’s more like a Holiday Inn, a mid-level family hotel that is clean and comfortable . The lobby is quite small for a hotel this size, thus making it seem crowded even when there are only a few quests around. The theme rooms are a curious attempt at creating a home environment, but come across as tacky, without any thought to the design. The rooms in general are spacious, clean and comfortable. If you are superstitious, then stay away from the cemetery view rooms. There is not much of a business center except for a small office equipped with a computer and the fitness center is not a center but rather a room with a couple of exercise machines.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel, because of its location in Causeway Bay next to the Happy Valley Racecourse, is a great place to stay for horse racing fans. Some of the rooms even have views of the track! While hotel is a little far from the MTR station (about a 10 minute walk), the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service that comes in handy. The lobby is nice and bright, with plenty of seating and free WiFi. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Once past the lobby however, the hotel's look becomes noticeably dated. The elevators and carpets are in need of refurbishment. The standard rooms are small and boring, however the deluxe rooms are a marked improvement and a good value.
