Best customer service of the London Vodafone stores. By a mile. They've always sorted me out and they're not too crowded. Tucked away near the WH Smith and Marks and Sparks.

The Scala is a great music venue near Kings Cross Station. I watched the band No Age perform here in 2010. I like that it is multi level, and you can watch the bands from the ground floor (standing room only), and the balcony (also standing room). There are little nooks and corners of the venue where you can plop ...

After initially being annoyed with this place, I recently had a great lunch there with friends. You can also dine 'al fresco' in the main hall of St Pancras. Menu is limited but wine list is good.

The incredible British Museum should be a must visit on everyone's list. The exhibits, no the KNOWLEDGE emits from the exhibits is immense. It is impossible to start naming items that are housed here without feeling something else just as important is being left out. So go! Go visit the museum and see them for youself. This may well be the most important and accessible library of its kind. Also probably the best run. Slightly suffers from the policy of letting A-level students use the revision rooms to revise (i.e. you don't have to be reading something from their collection to grab a seat), but the manuscripts room and rare book rooms are unparalleled. Paradise for ...

First class renovation job to grand Victorian station. Decent selection of shops on the arcade level, free wi-fi, free toilets, and well-designed access to overground trains. The Eurostar terminal is a bit less elegantly designed, but it works. Enjoy. It's what London Victoria Station should be but isn't.

This was one of my absolute favorite places to visit. Camden Market is the exemplification of young London-- it's like a street faire, with food and shopping (second-hand, hand-made, boutique, etc). Above all, go to experience the people. There are kids from all backgrounds, and I really loved seeing how they could all come together in one place and appreciate ...

The Bloomsbury neighborhood (containing the eponymous square that heads this review) is one of my favorite places for wandering in central London. It contains not only sights like the blockbuster British Museum, but an endless array of cute shops and cafes as well. Too many first-time visitors end up trapped in the area around Piccadilly; a wander through Bloomsbury is ...

O2 Academy is a terrific concert hall for a small to medium sized audience. It's an ideal location if you want a more intimate concert experience. I went to see several indie bands play here with some close friends. It was an awesome experience.

An icon of London, although it looks strange to me since they removed the microwave dishes. Sadly it is no longer possible to access the viewing gallery and the revolving restaurant at the top went out of business long ago.

Bourne & Hollingsworth is not the easiest of bars to find, but that's probably the point. Pour yourself down the stairs (taking extra care if - like BarChick - you were pissed and wearing heels). Inside? Well imagine your Grandmother is a kick ass DJ, and serves amazing cocktails in her sitting room, then you'll know what to expect. The ...

Few items say "London" more than the umbrella. You'll catch nary a Londoner leaving the house without one, year 'round. James Smith & Sons, in Bloomsbury, has been in business since 1830 and still makes some of its umbrellas and walking sticks in house. While umbrellas are the most popular item in London, according to their website "Much of the ...
