This is not the sort of beach that you want to spend hours sunbathing on - it's really rocky and can get incredibly crowded during the summer. With that said, it is a fabulous beach if you are looking for convenience from Lima - there are multiple stairways leading down to it from coastal districts like Miraflores and Barranco - or wanting to surf or learn how. Lots of surf schools set up shop here all summer and it's easy to get some quick lessons. The city has also been building up the parks here, and there are lots of great places to take a stroll with an ice cream in hand, watching the sunset.Recommended for:

I'm just going to say it. Peruvian cuisine doesn't excite me a heck of a whole lot. I'm a much bigger fan of the food in Argentina and Chile.
But with this being said, Costa Verde located on the outskirts of Mira Flores is truly memorable.
It's expensive, but you definitly get plenty of bang for your buck (or inti).
This place is high end so dress appropiately, but a jacket is not required. And DO NOT SKIP THE DESSERT!Recommended for:
