Located on the Texas State Fair Grounds in southeast Dallas. Access to the grounds and stadium via DART's Green Line is a travel option (Fair Park Station is located immediately adjacent to the Main Entrance of the Fair Grounds). Major annual event is the Red River Rivalry: a high profile footbal class between the University of Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma University Sooners. Other college and high school games, soccer matches and concerts also occupy the stadium throughout the year. The Cotton Bowl Classic Footbal game, played at this site until 2009. That game is now played at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Currently played at the stadium in December is the Ticket City Bowl. Participating teams change from year-to-year depending upon contract alignments among various football conferences.

For all sports buffs, this is a must see stadium, and for all of the not-so-sports-buffs this is not a very fun stadium to go to unless it is during the Texas State Fair. Some of the lower-level seats can have an obstructed view and the high-level seats can make you feel a little disconnected. I've been many a times during the Texas-OU football game, sat all over the place and it's still been a blast though.
