Established in a relatively new building and after undergoing a very recent renovation, the Courtyard South Boston is an unexpectedly stylish and modern hotel situated right next to a series of shopping plazas and supermarkets. Greeted by abstract, modern-looking pillars, the entrance/lobby boasts a café and business center available for guests to use. The rooms are clean, crisp, and comfortable.
There is a pool available, but no diving…it’s only 3 feet deep. Although it is somewhat distanced from Boston’s main attractions, the Courtyard Marriott is a great stay for those looking to save some money by staying further from higher-priced areas.Recommended for:

Travelers not familiar to Boston should be aware that this hotel is a bit of a ways out from the main tourist attractions and historical sites of the city. That said, it’s just a five minute walk to the red line, which can zip you right over to park street, a good starting point for exploring the city. If you’re coming into town with a car, I think the Courtyard is a really great option. The rooms and communal spaces are very clean and very modern, giving the chain hotel a big edge over similarly priced hotels in the same area. And you can tell the staff and owners really do want to make things as convenient and comfortable for their guests as possible, which is nice. I think this is a good option for families and business travelers alike.Recommended for:

This is a solid hotel choice located near the Andrew T stop in South Boston. It was very relaxing to hang out in the spacious lounge, where there is a fireplace and plenty of couches and chairs. I loved all the modern furniture and the colorful décor in the lounge area; I found it to be chic yet still inviting and comfortable. There is also a cute little café area next to the lounge that offers snacks like sandwiches and fruit. On a warm summer day, you can even eat outside in the little gazebo on the back patio. If you get hungrier, though, there is a large shopping center with a few chain restaurants like Applebee’s a short walk from the hotel. I thought all the amenities in this hotel were great. The pool area was a little small, but even though it was indoors, it still got a lot of light from all the windows. I thought one of the coolest features, though, was a dedicated area for printing out boarding passes. It was nice to have that separate from the rest of the business center, so it’s really convenient for people who just need to use the computer quickly for that purpose.Recommended for:
