The Courtyard in Boston covers the basics you would expect from a global hotel chain. Providing enormous rooms with magnificent views of Boylston St. and the Prudential building, the Courtyard is great accommodation for families and business travelers alike. Additional features include: a gym located in the basement, valet parking, and an on-site hotel that serves a complimentary continental breakfast buffet to guests. Despite the norm, its great location and historic architecture puts the hotel just a cut above the rest. If you're looking for a safe bet, this is your place.Recommended for:

This is a fairly unique Courtyard property because it is was converted in 2007 from a historic hotel called 88 Exeter. It is technically not managed under the flagship "Courtyard" brand, so there are some almost boutique-like touches to this hotel that are different from other Courtyards. One of the eye-catching features of the hotel for me was the old stained glass window in the entry way, which added some character and historic charm (though the rest of the hotel décor doesn't necessarily carry that charm throughout). I also loved that they put chocolates on the pillows in the guest rooms! That is a personal touch I rarely see anymore aside from very high-end luxury hotels. I also thought the staff paid a little more attention to customer service here, which made it feel a little bit more personal and unique.Recommended for:

While there's nothing especially unique or alluring about this hotel, I found it quite comfortable and the prices were really good for the location. Aside from the few photos of sailboats in the rooms, there's nothing really "Bostonian" about it, but if you just walk out the door, you'll find that some of the best restaurants and shops Boston has to offer are right nearby. There's major construction going on across the street that can be a little loud, but of course this is only temporary. Overall, it is an easy, comfortable and convenient option.Recommended for:

It's such a lovely hotel and the location very close to the bus station and train station only a walking distance. In front of the hotel is a big supermarket. The room was nice even though as not as big as Boston Intercontinental hotel rooms.
