This is a lovely, new hotel, with some of the most helpful staff I have come across in Seoul. I left the hotel feeling special and loved, which is rare as I often find high-end hotel staff polite, but a little clinical.
The rooms were spacious with nice views and generous bathrooms. In fact, the whole hotel gave the constant impression of space and light, with a huge fitness centre and open-plan restaurant.
The hotel is on top of the Times Square Shopping Mall, perfect for if you don't want to leave the comfort of the air-con in mid-August. It is connected to the subway underground, but it is a bit of a walk, which is probably the main downside, especially as apart from the mall, there is not too much in the immediate surrounding area. Once you've reached the subway though it's not far to the beautiful, art noveau style IFC mall or the Yeoeuido riverside and park.Recommended for:

This Courtyard by Marriott is located on the top floors of Times Square, which is a luxury shopping wonderland for both tourists and Koreans alike. The hotel is very modern with big, off white open spaces and minimal furnishings in the lobby. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. I wasn't able to see a room because all of them were either occupied or being cleaned, but I did happen to speak with a businessman who was traveling to Seoul and staying there: He said the rooms are exceptionally clean, basic and functional. What I really appreciate about this place, though, isn't the luxury feel or access to prime designer shopping. What really makes this location special is that it's near Yeongdeungpo Station, which is an old, crowded, and entertainingly gritty part of Seoul. Basically, if you get tired of looking at Rolexes, you can cross the street and eat some fried street food or peruse the goods one of the stall markets. Best of both worlds!Recommended for:

Conveniently located on top of the modern Times Square Seoul, the Courtyard by Marriott is a modern hotel with avante garde arts throughout the property. This gives the hotel more a boutique hotel feel rather than the brand as we generally know it in the States. Service is impeccable, exec lounge is well stocked. This is a good value business hotel in a great location.Recommended for:

This is a great hotel, but it definitely caters to a business clientele. There's no pool, no sauna/spa, and no bathtubs in the standard deluxe king-size rooms. The guest rooms are very clean and furnished nicely, but the standard room does feel cluttered with too much furniture, or pieces too big and clunky for the space. There wasn’t a lot of room to walk around. That said, there are many things to love about this hotel: 1) Free wi-fi in all common areas, and free in guest rooms for members of the Marriott rewards club, which is free and easy to join. So wi-fi everywhere is essentially free. 2) There's no extra charge for the fitness room and it's open 24 hours. 3) The Executive lounge on the 15th floor has awesome city views. Plus, it's conveniently located right near the Yeongdeungpo subway station on line 1, and connected to the Yeongdeungpo shopping complex, which has dozens of shops, the Shinsegae and Lotte department stores, tons of Korean and Western-style restaurants and a CGV movie theater. If you’re traveling for pleasure, it’s important to know that the hotel is situated on the west side of the city and not near any major tourist attractions.Recommended for:

I love this hotel because of the location and how clean and modern the hotel is! The hotel is located in the Seoul Times Square shopping center which is great! The hotel elevator does go directly to the shopping center only when the shopping center opens at 10:30am. However you can access the shopping center earlier outside the main entrance to the mall. Majority of the stores open at 10:30am.
The rooms itself are clean and bright! The showers however don't have a shower curtain or a sliding glass door, so don't freak out! The rooms have a flat screen TV and when entering the room, you don't slide your key into the door like most hotels but instead hold the room key up to a panel where the door handle is. Oh yeah, you can pnly go up to the rooms if you have a hotel key cause you have to scan it on the elevator.
They do have a fitness room and a spa. They also have a restaurant and they have a good breakfast buffet, however it does close at 10am! Overall, I would stay here again!
