This is a great place to stay with a fun location. The rooms are nice, and the staff is very friendly. I love this location because it has easy access to public transport, and is walking distance to a lot of attractions.

Great views of London and an easy way to see an overview of what the city has to offer. Our tour guides were wonderfully informative and although it was cold and overcast, we enjoyed it.

    Southbank London

0.68 mi from Covent Garden Hotel

One of the South Bank's principle attractions, from the perspective of a tourist, is that it gives you a chance to take the whole city in at once. In fact, I rather enjoy walking down one bank, crossing the Millenium, Blackfriars, Waterloo or Tower Bridges to the other bank. The notable landmarks are the Globe Theater and London Eye.

Fortnum's is amazing! From the window displays outside we are drawn into the store.. once in the store it is luxury and quality all the day. Colours and smells are spellbinding. I walk past the store most days and marvel at the displays. Sometimes stopping in to meet a friend for a cup of tea.

your likely not to get a good picture next to the guards if you are in the front of the palace, so i recommend heading towards buckingham through the back way. You will get to see the changing of the guard and be able to take funny pictures with them up close!

In a tradition that is over 100 years old, you can see the Horse Guards on Parade and looking smart thanks to Queen Victoria who ordered it after finding them not up to snuff. After the 100 years, the parade was kept as it is a huge tourist attraction.

Sadly, gone are the days when you could wander along Downing Street for a closer look and on occasions get to wave or otherwise gesture at cabinet ministers. Now Downing Street is gated off and the police don't even let you hang around to take photos by the gate.

Would I recommend the British Library as a tourist attraction? Not necessarily. I was a Library Science post-graduate major in London, so it had natural appeal to me. I liked it as a place to study and do research. However, I did eat in the restaurant there once and had a wonderful experience. If I remember right, it's not far ...
