If you want a true locals' experience, walk up to 30 Ave and take a left. Look for the billowing smoke of the outdoor grill. Hamburgers for around 10 pesos (under $1.00) last time we were there. Also ask for cebollas (onions), wrapped in foil and grilled.

a couple of blocks east of the condo, in a private home. You eat in their living room. Only open for lunch. Very local. Ask for fish if it isn’t on the menu. Don't expect anyone to speak English. A different experience! No bar.

Needing that 'special' coffee fix? Starbucks is a 5 to 8 minute walk from the Villa and has indoor and outdoor seating. They have quick service and prices are pretty much on par with the franchise prices.
