A great sandwich starts with great bread—a fact that’s apparent in this panino, which is part grilled cheese, part cubano. Pain au levain, a sourdough boule from Iggy’s Bread, showcases slow-cooked pork collar, Comte, Shelburne Farms Farmhouse Cheddar, and pickled ramps. The whole thing is pressed and served with a side of thick-cut fries.Recommended for:Foodies

One of the best rated restaurants in all of Boston (and for good reasons). The ambiance is high end but sweet and cozy, and the service staff is extremely attentive. Absolutely top notch! The plating of the food is a treat in itself, extraordinarily beautiful and simply elegant. The food is very savory, their Fois Gras appetizer is one of the best I have ever tasted, a specialty, bone marrow butter - where inside of the bone marrow is melted and can be spread on bread is one of their most recommended dishes. We also had the perfectly cooked Swordfish and Sirloin is superb. The pecan pie ice cream - oh my god, so delicious. The proportions are perfect for the contrast of warm and cold, smooth texture of the ice cream with the bread texture of the pie. Very expensive but you get your money worth.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

I am not exaggerating when I say that I am fairly certain this is the best restaurant in the Cambridge/Boston area. I went here once when it was in the old location and still called "Craigie Street Bistro" and then again after it moved to its current location. Both times, the meal was impeccably prepared and delicious. The waitstaff there is also top notch - our waiter spent plenty of time helping us pick a good wine to go with our dinner, and also told us that at the end of every service, the staff sits down and reads their comment cards together and recognizes the good service that each staff member offered. I would easily put this restaurant as my #2 of all time after French Laundry. (and while it is not cheap, it is definitely far more affordable than the French Laundry!)
Tip: get one of the "ringside seats" at the counter where you can watch the kitchen in action preparing everyone's meals.
