The first thing I thought upon driving into the front lot at the Crestview Inn was that it was located very randomly. Just north of the Sunnyvale border on El Camino in Mountain View and in the same lot as a rundown mini strip mall, the Crestview is a good option for business travelers who don’t mind driving an extra few minutes to get to their hotel.
Once inside, the feel of the building is a bit nicer, but you can’t help but notice the bizarre layout – it seems like it was put together a la “Operation” style. Getting to the upper levels proves to be quite the endeavor. The elevators are agonizingly slow, and the stairs are accessibly only from the outside. Pick your poison. However, once inside the room, most of the problems fade away, as the suite was very large with a nice area with a couch and TV. The bedroom is nice, but again, some things just stand out as bizarre. The sink is located about 10 feet from the head, next to a bed. Overall, not the best place but it’ll do.
