The best word to encapsulate the Cristina House B&B is "homey." It really feels like you've walked in to Cristina's home and that it's a private residence and she's putting you in her only guest room. This is almost true, since there are only five guest rooms. The TV is always on in the common room, which is the only shared space. There isn't really any lobby to speak of, just the central room with a comically garish couch, the TV, and a desk. Breakfast is served in the room, which although it's because there isn't a breakfast room, worked out just fine. The bathroom was so small I could barely turn around in there, but it was impeccably clean.
There are pros and cons to the place being so incredibly homey. It's very informal, which can be really relaxing and easy. On the other hand it doesn't feel special and definitely lacks in aesthetics. But the price is right and then you can go out and about in Florence to take in your beauty!

I even got you a place to stay! This B&B is adorable and the family running it is so friendly and makes you feel right at home. This picture might not be accurate but trust me, it's nice.

Unless this place is exceedingly cheap, I can't think of any other reason to stay here. It's on the third floor of a walk-up, where there was heavy construction going on on the first two floors and lots of workmen about. There are no communal areas, the lobby is not big enough to hang out in, there is a kitchen where they serve breakfast but they bring it to your room because there is no dining space. The staff was friendly enough and there was some helpful information in the lobby about what to do in Florence, but in general there was the overall feeling of being in someone's home that they converted into a hotel at some point in the 70s (the hotel is only 20 years old, but the decor would suggest otherwise). Location is ok but not spectacular, no real views from the rooms, nothing spectacular about this place generally. There are only two bedrooms with private bathrooms; otherwise the rest of the rooms have to share one communal bathroom. It's not extremely well marked, but is on a short quiet street. Seemed clean enough and nice enough, but like I said - I would only stay here if it was incredibly inexpensive.
