I loved the classic style of this five-star, long-standing hotel. I was in awe of the detailed decoration and incredible preservation of the classic features of the halls, rooms, ceilings and lounges. There are two full-size tennis courts, located alongside the outdoor pool. This area was
n’t available to use when I visited the hotel as it is shut off during the cold, winter months, but from what I could see from inside the space was amazing and a real opportunity of a lifetime for anyone who loves to play tennis. The service and attention was also a winning feature. I’ve been to other five-star hotels in the past and you don’t always get the “kindness” in the service that I experienced here. The other major plus for me was the quality of the food. The menu at any meal time would be difficult to beat and the wine cellar includes independent, organic Chilean wine.Recommended for:

I loved this hotel. It has style, elegance and grace. It was classic in design and, as such, beautiful to look at and walk around in. The staff were incredibly kind. This was perhaps one of the main reasons why I felt so at home in this hotel. It’s a huge hotel and an expensive place to stay, but I didn’t feel like I was surrounded by a pompous crowd of class-driven executives. I felt comfortable to wander around and it was clear that everyone who worked here really enjoyed their job. The staff also told me about the parties that they hold for Christmas and New Year and that these parties are all-inclusive and far more economical than most people might guess. If you love food, this is definitely one of the hotels to dine in, even if you can’t afford to stay there. The restaurant serves up some of the tastiest dishes of any of the large hotels in the city.Recommended for:

This is one of the most quality hotels I've ever been to. The place just exudes understated class and professionalism. One gets the feeling that it's the hotel other hotels aim for when they're trying to reach that gold standard of care and detail-orientation. There's nothing exactly flashy about it (except for the flamboyantly massive chandeliers hanging everywhere), but the hotel pretty much thinks of everything you need before you do, and provides it. The staff is upbeat but not sycophantic. The rooms are simple but stylish. The coffee is good. There's a tennis court. One morning I was sitting at the bar waiting for my cousins to come down and was hungry, but didn't want a whole meal, so the bartender brought me a croissant. Just plain good service.Recommended for:

Many times when entering into a large hotel it is the smaller details that clue you in to how good the hotel will be. The Crowne Plaza has a bank of functional wood rotary courtesy phones that are from an era lost in time and really give this grand hotel a... grand feeling. The Crowne is a classy hotel and a precious jewel in Santiago. The rooms are wonderful, the rooftop pool great and they even have two full size tennis courts (for me a touch of excellence). The Crowne Plaza also, is the perfect place to hold a conference, wedding or birthday party for anyone that does not want to leave anything to chance. And for the guests or the classy residents of Santiago the Crowne has an elegant piano bar with a happy hour, two drinks and a buffet for less than 20 dollars. My wife and I will not be missing out on this.

This Crowne Plaza offers a pleasant, slightly overvalued stay by the historical center, shops and restaurants. The double room was comfortable, though slightly stuffy. The service was friendly. The convention center is nice and the complementary internet a value added. Many of the room on higher floors offers great views of the city and the ‘cordillera de los Andes’ (Andes Mountain range) can be admired in a clear day.Recommended for:
