Not that you can ever get reservations here, but if you did happen to go online or call 6 months in advance at 8AM on the morning that availability opens on the reservations website, then you'd be totally in luck. In a historic seaside district, these early- to mid-20th century cottages are a throwback to another time. Wake up early and you'll have this gorgeous state park practically to yourself. Even if you're not staying overnight, you can still come for a burger and shake at the cafe here.

Located in the Crystal Cove State Park Historic District, rent one of these restored cottages right on the beach! Whether you choose from an individual or dorm-size cottage, this is one of the best spots for some beach bumming. You're right on the sand of the gorgeous Crystal Cove State Beach, next door to the yummy Beachcomber restaurant, up the stairs is Ruby's Shake Shack plus you're right in between Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach if you want to explore the neighborhood. Each cottage has a unique story and history. The individual cottages include a kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator and disposable plates & utensils as well. Most of them also can fit anywhere from 4 to 8 people. Really a great way to get to know Crystal Cove. Once you're there, you won't ever want to leave. All reasonably priced too! You just need to reserve a cottage months in advance as it books up fast.Recommended for:History Buffs
