The nearby beach. A quick 10 min walk across the street and you are here. On the beach there is an excellent restaurant (Beachcomber) and the Bootlegger Bar. The beach is very family friendly.

My favorite place to stop when cruising the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) through Orange County is this all-natural state park that encompasses both beaches and woodlands for hiking, camping, surfing, paddling, fishing and lots more. If you want a unique overnight stay, reserve many months in advance for one of the cute beach cottages located inside the park's historical preservation district.

If you want a sprawling beach and a drink at the Beachcomber, look no further. This state park is sure to please. Even though we have the loveliest beach in Southern CA, Three Arch Bay beach-goers sometimes need a change of scenery!

Probably our favorite beach for a relaxing beach walk. Make you sure make reservations for the Beachcomber Cafe!

Many locals think that Crystal Cove is THE BEST BEACH in Orange County. I think it's nice, but definitely challenging to get to, since you have to park across from PCH and take a shuttle down to the beach. It's a scenic beach with some restored, historic cottages and a nice, but pricey restaurant right on the beach. Further down their are some rocks with tide pools - great place for watching crabs. We like to stop at Ruby's Shack off PCH on top of the cliffs and have one of their famous shakes.

    Great Beach.

This is a beautiful area just south of Corona Del Mar. It's quiet and there are some great hikes and walks

Great Beach! Lots of tide pools with star fish and hermit crabs.
Depending on what time of year you go you can see sea lions, whales, dolphins.

Fantastic trails and makes for a great hike along the mountains. There are paths for all type of hikers as well as bikers and you get a great view of the landscape surrounding southern orange county. Hike from the hills through the forest and back down to the beach for a nice day excursion

Crystal Cove is a hidden gem in OC. It's a trip back in time with quaint classic California cottages, and a great little beach. Nice place to get away from the overdeveloped beaches around it and get a feel for what the California coast was like decades ago.

One of the best views of the ocean in Orange County. You might spot some gray whales, dolphin, seals and even a roadrunner or quail. Afterward, you have head over to The Beachcomber or Ruby's Shake Shack.
