The temple here was dedicated to the Sun God, an important part of the Inca Empire. The surrounding area is also now an archeological site/museum.

The former house of the famous spanish-incan writer Garcilaso de la Vega. The museum is hard to describe, as it has exhibits from all over Peru, and different time periods. The nazca mummy is pretty cool, as are the exhibits explaining the artistic style the blended European and Andean artforms called the "escuela cuzqueña"Popular withHistoryDesign

This place must have the highest density of disco balls and angel paraphernalia on the planet. Absolutely kitsch but a fun place to sit and enjoy a few drinks while marvelling at the decor. Technically a bar and restaurant but I'm not sure I'd trust them to deliver great food. Well worth a visit. Prices are on the high end ...Popular withLGBTTrendstersDesign

The Incan's had a very different cosomovision than Western European's have. Check out this planetarium and learn a bit about how the Inca's saw the world around them, and how this vision effected the way they lived their livesPopular withHistoryLocal

As far as level of comfort, without question the best ride on this trip for me. All the other buses I took had ...

Q'enko is a marine rock formation, found on the hills around Cusco, which indicates that one day, it was covered by sea. This rock has a chamber within it, caused by water erosion and it was used during the inca time for children sacrifices for when it didn't rain for too long.Popular withBudgetOutdoorAdventure

We came to arrive in Cuzco from Lima via LAN Airlines. The airport experience was not bad. We had a hard time figuring out when to go through security early morning due a language barrier and luggage was slow for pickup at baggage claim. On the other hand, we liked how there was a food court, airport lounges, and souvenir ...
