    Spiral Diner & Bakery

    4.5
    2 reviews

This place is 100% vegan, so you can truly feel free to order anything on the menu, "ice cream" and cakes included. Yes! A stress-free vegan experience. The Protein Platter is my staple with black beans, quinoa, avocado and tahini. They have organic beer and wine options to boot. Almost everything is made from scratch, so there's a lot of ...

    Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar

#BeStuffed This 1927 schoolhouse-turned-dining hot spot opened late last year to great fanfare, having snagged the former chef from Abacus (another top restaurant in Dallas). The patio is beautiful, and the prices are very reasonable. BrokeGirlsGuide.com

    Cosmic Cafe

So this place looks a little crazy, but the menu is a little nutso too, so they go well together. Mostly Indian-inspired vegetarian dishes, but there are also some Southwestern favorites on the menu, like Spinach Enchiladas in a cheese sauce. I find the menu to be fairly all over the place with walnuts, cream cheese and honey on nan ...

    Garden Cafe

The proud owners of the Garden Cafe try to use their own home grown vegetables or those locally produced. Local, organic, free range eggs only. I love sitting in the vegetable garden out back under the terrace; they kids can discover nature, the veggies can grow, and I can catch up on emails with a great latte, all at the ...

A vegan Asian food joint with desserts. I really enjoyed the flavors in the Malaysian Basil fried rice and the Sam Bal Chicken. The soy chicken was even tasty to my meat eater friends. The green vegan cake was quite interesting to look at, and it really satisfied our sweet tooth with the right amount of sweet, almonds, and moistness.

    Dream Cafe

Veggie sausage, veggie scrambles, edamame, zucchini chips. The ambiance in this place is unique: busy, a little retro, and diner-esque. There's always a wait on weekends, and you get an album cover with a famous 70s band for them to call out your name. "Sean Cassidy!" they yelled.

This restaurant has something for everyone. Italian inspired. The thin crust pizzas are awesome. Great large bar area here. Even better HH menu daily from 4-6. Professional hh crowd, great for big family dinners. Upscale, casual, children appropriate.

It's a chain, but you know what to expect when you order your food. Almost the same menu as PF Changs, and made by the same people. Good for take-out.

Another great restaurant in the Bishop Arts area. Here you will find great, fresh and mainly local fare here. If the weather is nice you'll want to enjoy a seat on the patio. In keeping with the green theme, this building was recycled from a gas station into a hip restaurant.

#BeStuffed #BeTipsy It would be foolish to visit Dallas without sampling the food at this Tex-Mex institution and sampling their frozen margaritas. You probably were unaware that the frozen margarita was in fact born in this very city! BrokeGirlsGuide.com

    Kalachandji's Palace & Rstrnt

    4 reviews

This is Dallas’ longest serving vegetarian restaurant. Make sure you look for a temple, not a restaurant, when looking for this gem. You’ll probably run into barefoot worshipers in the hall, but rest assured all diners will wear shoes. Each vegan, vegetarian and wheat item is clearly marked as such on the Indian food menu. No frozen or canned vegetables ...

Key Lime Pie! It's the biggest serving of dessert I've ever seen. (And it's good.) Their servings in general are sizeable, and it probably won't help your svelte figure to finish off a plate, but a starving gal (i.e. me, after being on a plane all day) can definitely polish off their briskett - and yes, it's good. It saddens ...

    Twisted Root Burger Company

The burgers here are very good. Mine was a bit overcooked, well to medium well versus medium, but still packed quite a bit of flavor. They also brew their own root beer, which was fantastic!

    Tillman's Roadhouse - Dallas

The food was quite good and the ambiance of the restaurant wasn't bad either. But the service really sucked!!

    Eatzi's Market & Bakery

I love the eclectic-ness and varied selections of this joint! Reminiscent of Central Market's deli area. And I do like the fact that my ADD goes haywire in here! :)

    Pappasito's Cantina

    4 reviews

There are better places than Dallas to get your Tex Mex on, San Antonio in my opinion has better. But they do a good enough job and give you enough options to keep things interesting. For a chain Pappasito's is doing some great things. The Houston based franchise works hard to create a better than average Tex Mex experience. Using ...

    Hattie's

This is the place you go to gorge yourself on Southern comfort food with a gourmet twist. I cannot recommend the Mac & Cheese highly enough. You. Will. Die. But.. it will be such a pleasant way to go! Make a reservation and go!
