    Dallas Chop House

    2 reviews

This restaurant has a special place in my heart because I celebrated my 35th birthday there. I was joined by 14 of my closest friends in the Library for an exquisite private dining experience. From the moment I walked in the door, service was unparalleled, the cocktails were creative, deserts delightful and the steak was divine. An added bonus is ...

    Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar

Arguably the best outdoor patio in Dallas. I love going to Saint Ann for happy hours or Sunday brunch. The art museum on the second floor is a nice touch, too.

    The Capital Grille

    2 reviews

The bustling Capital Grille manages to strike a unique balance of upscale dining and unpretentiousness. I sat in the main dining room with colleagues for a fabulous business dinner, and have had a boisterously fun time at the bar with friends. It’s definitely worth the experience--and the Crescent Court setting doesn’t hurt one bit.

    Ocean Prime

    3 reviews

To be perfectly honest, I've never eaten in the dining room here. The patio and bar were all-encompassing for me. It's a fabulously fun and luxurious dining experience, right in the heart of Uptown complete with live music in the bar on the weekend. I've lost count of how many occasions I've celebrated here as I stuffed myself with truffle ...

    Mi Cocina

    3 reviews

We visited Dallas this weekend and went here on Saturday night and I was thoroughly impressed. This is my new favorite place in Dallas. They serve delicious Mexican food until Midnight, so it's the perfect place to hit before you go out. The atmosphere is really fun with fun, mexican club music and a modern feel. Most importantly: The Margaritas ...

    Pappas Brothers Steakhouse

    2 reviews

I love this place. We manage to eat here 2-3 times a year as we live in Lubbock. Best steaks in the world. The bread is something we usually bring back to Lubbock x6. The dessert is mouth watering. The staff is friendly, very competent. I love this place. The only thing negative I would say is the Kobe beef ...

    Crooked Tree Coffeehouse

This converted old house makes for a great little spot to enjoy a local cup of Joe and hop on the Net. I love that they use Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters for their brew of choice. I always support local when I can. The ambience is relaxed and almost college-like. In fact the house itself reminds me of the bungalows ...

    Hattie's

This is the place you go to gorge yourself on Southern comfort food with a gourmet twist. I cannot recommend the Mac & Cheese highly enough. You. Will. Die. But.. it will be such a pleasant way to go! Make a reservation and go!

    Pei Wei Asian Diner

It's a chain, but you know what to expect when you order your food. Almost the same menu as PF Changs, and made by the same people. Good for take-out.

    Tillman's Roadhouse - Dallas

Sort of a weird, nouvelle cuisine spin on Tex Mex. Very poor value for the money, though the truffle oil tater tots were truly delicious.

    Luna de Noche's Tex-Mex Gourmet

    3 reviews

Luna de Noche is a Tex-Mex upscale restaurant located just outside of the American Airlines Center. Because of my big lunch earlier, I went with the Tortilla Soup which was great. Loaded with chicken, cheese and avocado, the soup hit the spot. They offer a full variety of Tex-Mex style of dishes and of course, Steaks. The atmosphere is very ...

    Chipotle Mexican Grill

    2 reviews

I like Chipotle enough that I sometimes eat there when I travel and I'm too tired to think about scouting the local food. This Chipotle is in the Historic District, which probably has good local options to.

    Bob's Steak & Chop House - Dallas

    8 reviews

This is the original Bob's, with locations all over the country at this time. The steaks are amazing, the drinks are very good, and the desserts make it hard to resist.

    Bolsa

    5 reviews

Another great restaurant in the Bishop Arts area. Here you will find great, fresh and mainly local fare here. If the weather is nice you'll want to enjoy a seat on the patio. In keeping with the green theme, this building was recycled from a gas station into a hip restaurant.

    Mi Cocina

#BeStuffed #BeTipsy It would be foolish to visit Dallas without sampling the food at this Tex-Mex institution and sampling their frozen margaritas. You probably were unaware that the frozen margarita was in fact born in this very city! BrokeGirlsGuide.com

    Oddfellows

Vegetarian friendly, locally-sourced food, clean lines, super expensive espresso machine (not super expensive espresso), and a great walk-friendly location. My favorites: egg white and veggie sausage skillet, fried green tomato BLT (minus the B, extra fried T), forest mushroom quinoa and veggie fajitas. The service is super smiley, even when they're slammed, and the space is open and clean. And ...

    Kalachandji's Palace & Rstrnt

Kalachandji's is the longest running veggie restaurant in Dallas and is also a beautiful sacred space. Meaning "the beautiful moon-faced one," Kalachandji is featured in the temple space adjacent to the restaurant. Food is Indian and prepared in the ayurvedic tradition. A must-visit, both for the food and as a sacred site.

    Cosmic Cafe

Cosmic Cafe is great both for its vegetarian fare and for creating community with events including yoga, meditation, dance, and poetry. Menu is heavily influenced by Indian food, but also includes some great veggie takes on Tex-Mex fare. Try the spinach enchiladas or, my fave, the bombay sage.
