    Chipotle Mexican Grill

    2 reviews

It's Chipotle so you know what you're going to get. This location gets pretty busy during lunch due to proximity to offices. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. You might want to download their iPhone app and order ahead if you have limited time.

Trinity Hall Irish Pub & Restaurant

An Irish pub that is happy to make your meal gluten free and also has a vegan drink menu and menu? Well blow me over! I thoroughly enjoyed the polenta and three beans. It was savory, a little salty, and hearty. The gluten-free beers are cold and ready to be served. Also, the pasta comes from corn or rice flour. ...

    Crooked Tree Coffeehouse

This converted old house makes for a great little spot to enjoy a local cup of Joe and hop on the Net. I love that they use Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters for their brew of choice. I always support local when I can. The ambience is relaxed and almost college-like. In fact the house itself reminds me of the bungalows ...

The interior of this restaurant can get a bit too noisy, but the patio is an alternative.

    Bob's Steak & Chop House - Dallas

    8 reviews

This is the original Bob's, with locations all over the country at this time. The steaks are amazing, the drinks are very good, and the desserts make it hard to resist.

Another great restaurant in the Bishop Arts area. Here you will find great, fresh and mainly local fare here. If the weather is nice you'll want to enjoy a seat on the patio. In keeping with the green theme, this building was recycled from a gas station into a hip restaurant.

    Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar

Arguably the best outdoor patio in Dallas. I love going to Saint Ann for happy hours or Sunday brunch. The art museum on the second floor is a nice touch, too.

    Eatzi's Market & Bakery

I love the eclectic-ness and varied selections of this joint! Reminiscent of Central Market's deli area. And I do like the fact that my ADD goes haywire in here! :)

    Mi Cocina

    4 reviews

#BeStuffed #BeTipsy It would be foolish to visit Dallas without sampling the food at this Tex-Mex institution and sampling their frozen margaritas. You probably were unaware that the frozen margarita was in fact born in this very city!

Vegetarian friendly, locally-sourced food, clean lines, super expensive espresso machine (not super expensive espresso), and a great walk-friendly location. My favorites: egg white and veggie sausage skillet, fried green tomato BLT (minus the B, extra fried T), forest mushroom quinoa and veggie fajitas. The service is super smiley, even when they're slammed, and the space is open and clean. And ...

    Kalachandji's Palace & Rstrnt

Kalachandji's is the longest running veggie restaurant in Dallas and is also a beautiful sacred space. Meaning "the beautiful moon-faced one," Kalachandji is featured in the temple space adjacent to the restaurant. Food is Indian and prepared in the ayurvedic tradition. A must-visit, both for the food and as a sacred site.

    Cosmic Cafe

Cosmic Cafe is great both for its vegetarian fare and for creating community with events including yoga, meditation, dance, and poetry. Menu is heavily influenced by Indian food, but also includes some great veggie takes on Tex-Mex fare. Try the spinach enchiladas or, my fave, the bombay sage.

    Garden Cafe

The proud owners of the Garden Cafe try to use their own home grown vegetables or those locally produced. Local, organic, free range eggs only. I love sitting in the vegetable garden out back under the terrace; the kids can discover nature, the veggies can grow, and I can catch up on emails with a great latte, all at the ...

    Tillman's Roadhouse - Dallas

Tillman's atmosphere is hands down one of the best in Dallas. It is as if you are dinning in the retail store of Urban Outfitters. The drinks are excellent with a great lounging area. Also, you can roast smores at your dinner table for desert!

    Twisted Root Burger Company

    5 reviews

The burgers here are very good. Mine was a bit overcooked, well to medium well versus medium, but still packed quite a bit of flavor. They also brew their own root beer, which was fantastic!

    Hard Rock Cafe Dallas

Every city has one. Ours is just ok.... Its a quick car ride, or 1 mile walk from house.

Yes, please open one in the Bay Area! Gelato galore, one could not decide! I love how they have many different fun flavors like caramel bacon, blueberry cheesecake, or lavender. They also make a pretty mean espresso. We were here for hours playing some of the board games they had on hand. High five to the staff for going the ...

    Pappasito's Cantina

    4 reviews

I like this chain for chips and salsa, good margaritas, and the occasional fajita plate. The food is good, and the service can be hit or miss.
