    Deep Ellum

Deep Ellum, Dallas, TX 75226, USA
    19 reviews

I have only driven through here and it looks quite cool. Maybe a bit trashy looking. I imagine many artsy-hipsters are into this neighborhood. I really don't know. I guess I need to give it a try one of these days. Cool art around. Filled with a unique character.

    The Bishop Arts District

    4 reviews

Not much to do just a couple of cute local shops and restaurants. I was nearby and decided to take a look around after a lunch at Cafe Brazil. While the shops are rather unique they are a bit overpriced for my budget. However, I would say it is the perfect place to find handmade local things to eat and ...

    Voodoo Chile

    5643 Bell Ave.
    2 reviews

If you're interested in something truly and genuinely unique, then you absolutely must visit this place. It's something like a gift shop, a museum, an art gallery, a time capsule, and a head shop all rolled into one little joint. Owned (operated? curated? birthed?) by a legitimately groovy Japanese guy named Jimi, it is basically a small house that has ...

    Libertine Bar

2101 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX, United States
    3 reviews

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that their drink selection is exquisite, from artfully-mixed cocktails to a wide selection of local and imported beers. The food menu is pricey but affordable, especially once you taste it. They have shared plates that are great for dates, and they also have some incredible deals on certain days of the week. ...

    Prohibition Dallas

    1404 Main St
    1 review

Classy, cool, and full of artfully-inspired drinks. I never thought I'd like a drink with jalapenos in it, but they have mastered the art of the craft cocktail. Be prepared to pay for it, but you'll be glad you did. They don't water their drinks down and the new management knows how to entertain.

This mall has a lot of high-end shopping, and has really changed since I started coming here as a young child with my mother. Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc. You get the idea.

    Galleria Dallas

13350 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75240
    42 reviews

This is one big mall. Galleria Dallas offers everything from an ice skating rink to stores as uncommon in most places as Zara. The food court offers all types of food, my favorite being the French bistro at the bottom. It's also connected to several hotels and a parking garage so large it sent chills down my spine.

    The Sixth Floor Museum

411 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75202, United States
    27 reviews

Despite the city’s breakneck forward motion, one thing Dallas can probably never leave behind is the legacy of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. History buffs head to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, formerly the Texas School Book Depository, where Lee Harvey Oswald is presumed to have fired the fatal shots. The area where Oswald allegedly stood ...

    John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza

646 Main Street, Dallas, TX, United States

Not what I was expecting - very grim. But this is an important place for younger visitors to see because of its historical importance to their parents and grandparents. This place changed America for that generation just like 9/11 changed the country for the current cohort of young people.
