This faux village is located where the heart of Dallas used to be in the 1800s. They have recreated a complete village: bank, saloon, schools, churches, blacksmith shop, and houses, all ACTUAL structures that were a part of life in the 19th century. For example, the old doctor's office is set it up as it would have been, even telling the story of the doctor who used to live in that house. It's fascinating. This village needs a little more love to keep it in good condition, but it was definitely worth the visit. (They've added AC in most of the buildings, so in the summer just walk quickly from one to the next.)Recommended for:
