Dallas World Aquarium

1801 North Griffin Street, Dallas, TX
28 reviews

It's easily overpriced for the time you spend there (expect to lose a cool $100 for a family of four), but it's a great little place with a chance to walk underneath sharks in one of those glass tunnels, see a manatee, and observe a very bored, very neurotic, tiger in a way too small enclosure.

Perot Museum of Nature and Science

0.24 mi from Dallas World Aquarium
    15 reviews

Science! Nature! Architecture! If those three words don't convince you to visit, then maybe these eighty or so words will. This is a great place to bring any size group, especially children. But it's not just a place for kids. There are certain evenings when it's 21 and up only. They have alcohol and encourage the adults to enjoy the ...

Really nice, very clean, and upper-end in terms of service. The food was unsurprisingly good and the drinks were hand-made. The view from the inside is nice because of the large windows that look into an historic area of the west end. Lots of room to sit inside, including big comfy couches. Felt like it's been there for a hundred ...

    Reunion Tower

0.59 mi from Dallas World Aquarium
    14 reviews

The coolest thing about Reunion Tower is that to get to it, you have to use the downtown Dallas' underground walkways - they're surprisingly extensive. At 561 feet, the tower is the 15th tallest in Texas and now hosts a Wolfgang Puck restaurant at the top called 56 (in reference to the tower's height, naturally).

Two X-s visible on Elm Street mark the spots where the bullets struck President Kennedy. The Grassy Knoll was the location where unsuspecting Abraham Zapruder filmed the assasination that changed the history of the world. 6th Floor Museum; The Life and Times of John F. Kennedy is adjacent to the plaza at the corner of Elm and Houston Street.
