If not for their free mini donuts flyers I would probably have never found this place. Friend of mine insisted picking up his free donut so we were on a quest to find this store. It is tucked in a tiny corner by 1st and 2nd st right next to a set of stairs. Very easy to miss.
These mini donuts were indeed made fresh on the spot. They are about 2" inch each. Perfect bite size. You can choose from a variety of simple toppings including cinnamon sugar, powder sugar, chocolate, vanilla and caramel with sprinkles.
These little goodies were quite light (in texture, probably not calories). They were not fried at too high of a temperature so the shell was relatively thin and interior was soft. Would love for them to be a little crispier but I did enjoy these delicious sweeties they way they were.
If I wasn't still full from lunch I would probably get a dozen or so. If you happened to be in the area, give it a try. Danny's mini donuts is better than many of those tourist trap ice cream shops in Old Sacramento. 12 for $6.00 or 6 for $4.00. They aren't cheap if you compare them with full size donuts but these are better.Recommended for:
