This hotel is really beautiful, modern, and stylish, and has excellent service. The location is perfect if you want to be right on Tiergarten, and it is near the zoo garden area, but there aren't any U- or S-bahn stops very close, which is unfortunate, but also very peaceful for the middle of the city. Breakfast is not included, but the rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff is really friendly and informative.

Guaranteed the coolest Berlin design hotel. Ansolutely new and super cutting edge design-wise. A bit expensive but worth every penny! The catch: it's situated right next to the zoo and you see giraffes and monkeys from your room!

This is what Berlin is really about: occupying a 1930s mansion which was formerly the Danish embassy and perched on the edge of the beautiful Tiergarten park, this has location, architectural merit and is very comfortable too. The austere staircases straddling either side of the main hallway set the scene for an interior which is dramatic and theatrical, but softened by more organic, contemporary touches. Book one of the junior suites, if your budget permits, for views towards the park or Berlin Zoo.
