The Days Hotel is another Boston-area hotel that seems well suited for college visits. It's well positioned in the sense that's it's more or less equidistant from Northeastern, BU, BC and Harvard, among other schools. But it isn't really T accessible, and it's not the most pedestrian friendly area. This isn't the sort of place you'd want to spend a whole lot of time; it's really just a less expensive place to rest your head after a day of exploring. The room decor is pretty outdated (they haven't quite made the flat screen upgrade yet) and the hallways are on the dark and dingy side. The attached Chinese restaurant (complete with a sizable tropical fish tank ) isn't a bad perk, however!

The Days Hotel is a pretty basic hotel that is good for people looking for a cheap night's stay close to Cambridge. The rooms have a slightly outdated feel to them, with dark, quilted comforters and thick curtains on the windows, and the hallways feel a little musty as well. However, one redeeming feature is the Chinese restaurant right off the lobby; it’s a great place to come for a delicious, convenient meal, especially because there aren’t that many other restaurants within a short walking distance. It is fairly close to the Harvard Business School campus, as well as a shopping center with a Petco and a Shaw's supermarket. Overall, don't expect anything out of the ordinary here. Its free Wi-Fi and large parking lot are about the most exciting amenities you'll find.
