For a humble (and somewhat meager) looking downtown hotel, this Days Inn was impressive. The room was clean and decent, and reception service was friendly. I was perfectly comfortable, and had no complaints.
Downsides: no view (unless you count the neighboring wall), fairly thin walls (although the area is quiet, so we weren't very bothered), and we couldn't find the trash can anywhere in the room (it was literally hidden between the vanity and the wall in the FAR corner of the room). We also couldn't connect to Internet, despite the advertised free Wi-Fi.
Upsides: incredible air conditioning (we escaped the outside heat in no time), AWESOME BEDS (the best part of the room - plush, soft comforters and a million pillows swallowed me up), full cable, complimentary toiletries, and separated shower/toilet from the vanity and sink. Plus the complimentary breakfast was excellent - muffins, bagels, fruit, granola, yogurt, oatmeal, bread, milk, coffee, juice, tea, etc. We even grabbed extra bagels for lunch later.
All in all, it's a simple hotel that satisfies your basic travel needs. But for the price, it was pretty well worth it, and I'd definitely consider staying here again when I'm on a budget or just need a place to crash downtown.
