Tucked away in the back of the French Quarter, Deanie's Bucktown location is more well-known, but it's Quarter cousin serves the same food. Get the seafood platter, and have fun stuffing your face. (The softshell crab, fried shrimp, and crawfish balls are amazing!)

Loved the food and the atmosphere! Lots of menu options showcasing classic New Orleans seafood dishes, with several dishes unique to Deanie's. My friend and I both thought the complimentary baked potato appetizer (instead of bread) was a nice touch, and it helped keep our hunger at bay while waiting for our really tasty Bucktown Boil Pizza. Liked the place so much that we went twice!

Although I would choose the Fat City location over this one nearly every time, it is great to see Deanie's getting some recognition from tourists and visitors. Always a local favorite, the fish is fresh and flavorful. And plentiful. The service is always so accommodating and friendly. In a town known for its restaurants, this is worth the visit.
