Deer Valley is an upscale resort limited to skiers only - No Boarding. They also limited the number of tickets sold each day, so the slopes may be busy, but never packed. The layout of this mountain allows many different areas for dining, one of my favorites for a high end ski lunch is the restaurant in Stein Erikson Lodge, Glitretind, the Chicken Schnitzel is to die for. It located in the Silver Lake base area.Recommended for:

Deer Valley is undeniably the biggest attraction in the area. The Silver Lake Village area is the cream de la cream of Deer Valley. The mid-mountain location offers not only the BEST access to the Silver Lake lifts for both skiing and summer mountain biking, but Black Bear Lodge's is one of very few family or small group accommodations nestled between mult-million dollar private housing and the 5 star Stein Eriksen Resort which is directly across the street from Black Bear. Stein 's renowned restaurants and lounges and spa offer an opportunity to partake of these top amenities while enjoying the comfort and privacy of your own luxury level rustic style and space of a full condo apartment. Other top rated restaurants like Mariposa, Cena, Royal Street Cafe and Goldner Hirsh are all within walking distance and you can come back and "wine down" in your private hot tub and relax before the fireplace after your active day.Recommended for:

Deer Valley is less than a mile away from the condo (as the crow flies) and is a very easy trip on the free shuttle that stops 1/2 block away from the condo. Known for great ski slopes and world class food, this is one place that should not be missed during your trip to Park City. Take a ride on the funicular to the base of the St Regis hotel and enjoy fantastic food and breathtaking views of skiers (during the winter) or hikers and bikers during the summer while experiencing some of the fabulous food at the bar attached to the J&G grill. The "Champagne Saber" at sunset is a great event not to be missed. Too many great restaurants to list here, but DV has some of the best food around and it would be hard to have a disappointing meal at any of the restaurants.Recommended for:

World Class skiing! Deer Valley has a lift ticket max per day which ensures it's guests shorter gondola lines and non-crowded runs. Great for novice to expert and handicap skiers alike! Remember Deer Valley is a Ski-only resort, snowboarders not welcome on these slopes.Recommended for:

World Class Skiing, best groomed trails in the USA. Plenty of great tree skiing and powder runs for the adventurist. Why eat lousy food after a great morning of skiing? The food at Deer Valley is better than most restaurants in top notch cities. The service is also impeccable.Recommended for:

Deer Valley is a great resort for skiers (no snowboarding) and kids of all ages. Great ski instructors for beginners as well. Stein Eriksen is the place to stay, but there are also new resorts such as the St. Regis and the Montage. I would not recommend staying at the Montage as they are a new hotel there and the service is terrible for the very expensive prices they are charging and make you pay the entire amount upfront...Recommended for:

Well-known Deer Valley is in close reach, about 10 min drive by car in opposite direction of town. It offers nice groomers and well- maintained terrain and whilst it offers some great double blacks it seems to be a bit more snobby catering towards the less adventurous skier. Personally, I like to spend one day there for the marvelous views from Mt Baldy area whilst some family members prefer the "wilder" terrain at the Canyons.Recommended for:

Try it out in the summer. We're heading up there this weekend to see EWF in concert with the Utah Symphony. We saw the Eagles last and it was a great way to see a concert, not to mention they allow coolers in to the venue so we sipped cabernet and rocked on......

5 star resort, considered by name magazines the best ski resort in United States. Deer Valley is 5 stars, they worry about every little thing to be the best. Trails are very good with Utah fresh powder, great lodging with (St.Regis, Stein Erikssen and others), good cuisine and everything you need to have fun in the slopes.

#1 Ski resort for a reason. Perfectly groomed, great service, amazing runs - there is little to dislike about Deer Valley (as long as you're a skier since it is still ski-only.) A little on the pricey side, but you can get decent deals if you mix stay/ski with DV Reservations. Eating on the mountain is a little pricey, but it's an amazing resort!
