The Deko Hotel is a hipster's paradise. The place is small and cute with a remarkably sweet staff. The rooms are designy and typical size for Rome. The place is brand new (or was when I was there) with a great breakfast (you can choose to eat in your room or in the breakfast room -- a lovely plate topped with cherries. literally.). I appreciated that the wifi was included. The only thing missing is a rooftop terrace. A tad pricey for what you get, but still a solid place to stay.

The Deko Hotel has extremely good reviews all over the place (Trip Advisor, etc) so I was interested to check it out. It's definitely a unique offering amongst the plethora of Roman hotels staffed by men in their 60s. The Deko is run rock'n'roll style by Marco, a young Roman who seems to have taken his cues from London and New York (including the hipster vibe). The rooms are modern, very design-y, comfortable and clean, and there's a swanky white and red breakfast bar. All in all, it feels a bit pricey for what you get, BUT I guess you're paying the price for staying somewhere popular. Fun, funky, and not at all a bad place to stay.

One of the best concierge and hospitality at any hotel in Rome.... modern and uber sleek decor, with prosecco given upon arrival and gorgeous rooms. The hotel is ran by a very friendly and helpful couple who will make your experience personal and lovely.

I felt like I had inadvertently stumbled into the Roman version of London's Broadway Market (read: hipster central) when I rocked up at the Deko. The owner, Marco, is a hip young thing who seems to be flying high on his success as a hotel owner...it's a new place but has already become really popular, especially with a younger crowd. Anyway, the rooms are modern and smallish, but the aperitif at night and friendly vibe make up for it. The Deko seems to be slightly misplaced in its choice of neighborhood, as the Via Veneto area is usually dominated by an older crowd looking for a taste of Fellini's La Dolce Vita.
