After wandering through the store, get in the line and grab a seat in the cafe upstairs. Uniquely decorated, with some gorgeous chandeliers, the desserts are worth the price. Pick yours from the case and top it off with a coffee. Expect to pay a pretty penny for the visit, but a cafe not to be missed.

Popular cafe among tourists looking for a traditional Viennese cafe experience. Demel is decent, but the pastries (which are what people come here for) won't blow you away. Service is typical Viennese - quick to get your drinks, slow to get the bill & pay. Pro tip - if you don't like smoke, go up to the second floor for a non-smoking oasis.

A wide selection of delicious cakes, you will definitely find your favourite.
Not only Sacher torte, this is a real heaven for those who like to indulge on sweet food.
There is also the opportunity to see the lab with chefs making real cakes live from a open window inside the bar.

Vienna is known for it's Viennoiseries, it's pastries and nowhere is this more obvious then at Demel one of the oldest pastry shops in the city. traditional setup inside and a giant glass separates you from the artists creating the greatest cakes.

Located in the heart of Vienna, in one of the entrances of the Hofburg, specifically in Michaelerplatz. Their appearance as coffee is not as impressive as other places mentioned in this serial, perhaps because they are is an establishment with a higher vocation of pastry. 's why, in addition to highlighting the Sachertorte at hand, you can try other types of cakes and pastries that are also produced here, as is the case with Apfelstrudel (puff apple).
Moreover, if we continue to the back of the store, we can see behind a glass wall, the whole process of the spectacular sweets that are offered in the local historical founded in 1786.Recommended for:
