Denali National Park is a majestic place with huge expanses of wild lands, Mount McKinley (the tallest mountain in North America), and an amazing diversity of wildlife; when I was there, I saw dall sheep, moose, caribou, wolves, black bears, and eagles. It's an amazing part of the world.
There also are lots of options for camping in Denali. I spent a week at Wonder Lake, with incredible views of Mt. McKinley about half the time. Reserve a spot early--they fill up fast! And, be sure to bring mosquito repellant, light colored clothing, and even a mosquito head net--the mosquitos and black flies can be brutal is some parts of the park, especially in the summertime.Recommended for:

This park is so vast, you could visit it time and again and not get tired of it. We only had time on our last visit to drive the first 10 miles or so into the park, but even so we found great short hiking trails with incredible vistas. If you really want to see the park's iconic wildlife (megafauna), buy tickets (reservations recommended) to hop aboard the shuttle bus that travels the entire park road into its wilderness interior. Best time to visit may be summer, but we still had a great time right after Labor Day in early September.Recommended for:

I only had two days in Denali National Park as part of a cruise-tour package. It's in the middle of Alaska with almost nothing around it. There are trips and hikes for all skills levels.

One of the most beautiful, rugged parks in north America. We did 2 3-day backcountry trips here, and the wildlife was unbelievable. We saw a mother grizzly with 4 cubs, a wolverine, caribou, bald eagles, you name it. There is a bus that shuttles tourists in and out of the park, but can also drop you off at your destination.

Absolutely Beautiful. I have never seen a National park that was this amazing! When you see the brown bears and all the moose that are 30 feet from you, you will wonder if any of it is real. Everything imitates the look of a painting and feels of a fun house. For example, the Tundra feels as a sponge or even a cloud that you are walking on! Absolutely Amazing!!! two thumbs up indefinite

The visit to Denali National Park was the highlight of my trip to Alaska. We went there 2 years ago towards the end of August. The timing was perfect as we were there just in time for fall colors. It was a little hard to spot wildlife with all the different hues of red, yellow and green but we still got to see lots of grizzly bears, moose and elks.
The Kantishna tour is a must have in your trip. Its a 13 hour bus ride that starts at approximately 8am and in takes you parts of the Denali park that most people are not allowed access to.
