The Devil's Rope Museum is a Route 66/barbed wire museum housed in an old brassiere factory. That should be enough of a recommendation for you, really... It's a weird and fun stop if you're taking I-40 through Texas. The town of McLean is very quaint and a little sad (Route 66 used to run through town until they built the interstate).
