Wells cathedral is fantastic! It is very conveniently located, in the centre of the town. You could spend a couple of hours there and still not see all that it has to offer. If you go to Somerset, don't forget to go to Wells!

Kent's Cavern Prehistoric Caves are an excellent place to visit. Incredible caves - wonderful formations of stalagmites and stalactites, all very well lit.
