Dishoom Covent Garden

12 Upper St Martin’s Lane, London WC2H 9FB, United Kingdom

This place is amazing - you can't book if you have a small party which is annoying but the food makes up for the time spent queuing. I am really particular about Indian food (coming from an Indian family!) and it's incredible. TIP: Try the chilli cheese toast, calamari and Bollybellinis!

Not the best Mexican food I've ever eaten, but it's fun to finally have some Mexican options in London. It's a buzzing restaurant serving freshly prepared Mexican food. The staff is friendly and they're well-equipped for families and young kids - you should see their 'collection' of brightly-coloured highchairs! (The queue might look long, but it moves quickly!)

An amazing tapas place. However, it took several tries to finally eat there. They don't take reservations, and the line starts early. If you show up at 8, your wait can easily be 1 hour 45 minutes, because they only have seating along the bar. Finally, a friend from out of town decided to queue up at 5:30 and we ...

Very small bar w/ a few tables, only one of which you can reserve -- the nook in the back which seats 6-8 ppl. Decent food - lively, cozy atmosphere. Prepare to feel nyc-style cramped next to ppl around you..If you tapas type food in central London - would recommend Dehesa over DS
