This place is amazing - you can't book if you have a small party which is annoying but the food makes up for the time spent queuing. I am really particular about Indian food (coming from an Indian family!) and it's incredible.
TIP: Try the chilli cheese toast, calamari and Bollybellinis!Recommended for:

In the less-touristed but gorgeous area of Seven Dials near Covent Garden is this tastefully designed Indian/South Asian street food cafe. Come hungry, early if you don't want to wait in line, and with friends; the many small plates are meant to be shared. I don't like daal much, but theirs is remarkably good. 'Naughty' chocolate chai comes with a splash of bourbon.Recommended for:

I've always heard that one of the best places to eat Indian food is in London. I'd have to agree. In a city where many originate from or have traveled India, palates are particular and seasoned to ensure this trendy hotspot earns its full house and reservations-a-must status. Everything is delicious, though served in date-sized portions. You'll still walk away stuffed because all menu items come with great descriptions and the waiters speak impassioned with praise for their favorites. Pair the meal with a savory, sweet or tart cocktail, served boozy or virgin. The interiors are designed with a nostalgic throwback to backpacking India and eating in gritty hole in the walls, but here the toilets are clean and Instagram-worthy and the water is sweetly-safe to drink.Recommended for:

Had breakfast here--the bacon naan hit the spot and the chai, oh that lovely chai! I'm spoiled for life! It was so good, warming with just a bit of a punch. They also have a chocolate chai which is milder for people who aren't fond of the spicy chais. They also serve lunch and dinner.Recommended for:

Absolutely loved this indian spot! Our waiter was extremely patient with us - we ended up trying all new things because he talked us through it all.
Also...I love places which are themed around sharing plates. It makes the meal more of a social experience. I enjoyed everything and I'll definitely be back! Dishoom takes its decorative cues from the old-fashioned Iranian-Indian cafes that used to be in Bombay. Lots vintage trinkets and prints on display - really lovely and fun atmosphere.
